Organizing test scenarios

Prev Next

This page explains how to organize your test scenarios in Autify by creating and managing directories.

Create a directory

You can create directories to group related test scenarios.

  1. Navigate to the Scenario Page from the main menu.

  2. Click the Open directory button near the top of the screen.

  3. Click the New directory button.

  4. Enter your desired directory name and click the ✅️ icon or press Enter.

Move a scenario into a directory

You can organize Scenarios by moving them into your created directories.

You can move a Scenario into a directory by dragging and dropping it. You can also select and move multiple Scenarios at once.

Rename a directory

You can rename a directory as needed to keep your organization clear.

  1. Hover over the directory name, click the icon, and select Rename from the dropdown menu.

  2. Enter the new directory name and click the ✅️ icon or press Enter.

You cannot create directories with the same name within the same level (i.e., inside the same parent directory). You can, however, create directories with the same name if they are in different levels.

Delete a directory

You can delete directories that are no longer needed.

  1. Hover over the directory name, click the [...] (options) icon, and select Delete from the dropdown menu.

  2. A confirmation prompt will appear. Click Delete to confirm the action.

When you delete a directory, all Scenarios inside that directory will also be deleted. Deleted directories and Scenarios cannot be restored.

Nested directories

You can create new directories (subdirectories) inside existing directories.

  1. Navigate into the parent directory where you want to create the subdirectory.

  2. Follow the steps in the Create a directory section.

  3. The new directory will be created inside the current parent directory.

You can move Scenarios into this subdirectory using the method described in the Move a Scenario into a directory section.

You can also move a directory’s location in the hierarchy by dragging and dropping it.
