In this article, we will show you how to create a scenario that includes file upload steps. With this method, you can test your site even if it has a file upload function.
Steps to create a scenario
Click New Scenario to start a recording session.
Click the file input field on the page you want to test.
When the file selection dialog appears, select the file to upload.
When the file is successfully selected, an Upload file step is automatically added to the scenario.
The file you select during recording must be 10 MB or smaller per file.
If you select a file larger than 10 MB, the Upload file step is not recorded (the upload action is automatically skipped).
If you want to test with a file larger than 10 MB, complete recording using a dummy file that is 10 MB or smaller, then replace it by following the steps in Change the file to upload.
Change the file to upload
In the scenario editor, click the Files tab.
Click Upload file and upload a new file.

Click the Scenario tab and click the pencil icon for the Upload file step.
From the File content dropdown list, select the newly uploaded file.

To change the name of the file to upload, specify any file name in File name.
Where uploaded files are stored and file size limits
Remote workspace: Files are stored on Autify’s cloud server. The maximum size per file is 50 MB.
Local workspace: Files are stored on your device (local environment). There is no specific file size limit.
