Troubleshooting for Autify Nexus Self-Hosted Version

Prev Next

Autify Nexus offers a Self-Hosted version in addition to the SaaS version.

This document provides answers to frequently asked questions regarding the Autify Nexus Self-Hosted version, including considerations and troubleshooting during environment setup and update procedures.

FAQ

What is the difference between the Self-Hosted version and the SaaS version?

  • The Autify Nexus Self-Hosted version is a system where the server storing scenarios and test results, as well as the runner executing tests, are built and operated on servers (physical or virtual machines) provided by the customer.

  • This version is offered to customers who wish to conduct tests in an environment completely isolated from the internet or to those with strict security policies.

How can I obtain the installer and setup guide?

  • The installer and setup instructions are provided individually by our representatives to subscribed customers.

  • Please contact your representative for more details.

Why is a dedicated OS user account (other than Administrator or root) required for setup?

For security and proper privilege management reasons, we do not recommend setting up with a privileged user. Be sure to prepare a dedicated OS user account before performing the setup.

Is it possible to migrate data from the Cloud (SaaS) version to the Self-Hosted version?

Migration is possible using the Scenario Import/Export feature. However, since there are limitations where some advanced settings are not retained (e.g., Shared Groups are converted to regular groups), be sure to check the configuration details after the migration.

How do I update the server and clients?

Please check the setup guide provided individually.

What logs should I attach to my inquiry when a problem occurs?

Are the client applications used for the SaaS version and the Self-Hosted version different?

The same client application is used for both versions.

Is it mandatory to update the Nexus server?

It is not mandatory. However, since updates include new features and performance improvements, please review the release notes to decide whether to update.
