This issue occurs when the target element is not a standard HTML checkbox element. For example, custom UI elements (such as `<div>` or `<span>`) that are implemented to look like checkboxes using CSS or JavaScript are not standard HTML checkbox elements, so they are not eligible for the "Element checked" assertion. ![](https://cdn.document360.io/c040854c-2c75-49d0-98e1-43f462e8657e/Images/Documentation/スクリーンショット 2026-04-07 18.02.54.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-27T18%3A44%3A13Z&se=2026-10-27T19%3A44%3A13Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=njHsR9C%2FN8adBxiSjvlsJAuHQDQe7LQ8%2FoB0K6fV34g%3D) In such cases, you may be able to verify the checked state by using the "Looks the same" assertion as an alternative. ## Steps Create a step to compare the appearance of the target element in a checked state (or the state you want to verify). 1. Start recording and set the target element to a checked state. 2. Click the ![element assertion icon](https://cdn.document360.io/c040854c-2c75-49d0-98e1-43f462e8657e/Images/Documentation/square-mouse-pointer.png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-27T18%3A44%3A13Z&se=2026-10-27T19%3A44%3A13Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=njHsR9C%2FN8adBxiSjvlsJAuHQDQe7LQ8%2FoB0K6fV34g%3D) icon on the recorder toolbar. 3. Click the target element. 4. When the assertion menu appears, select `Looks the same`. 5. When the screen to set the difference threshold (%) appears, enter the acceptable pixel difference percentage (the default is 0). 6. Click `Add` to confirm the assertion.![](https://cdn.document360.io/c040854c-2c75-49d0-98e1-43f462e8657e/Images/Documentation/%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AF%E3%83%AA%E3%83%BC%E3%83%B3%E3%82%B7%E3%83%A7%E3%83%83%E3%83%88%202026-04-07%2015.30.47(1).png?sv=2026-02-06&spr=https&st=2026-10-27T18%3A44%3A13Z&se=2026-10-27T19%3A44%3A13Z&sr=c&sp=r&sig=njHsR9C%2FN8adBxiSjvlsJAuHQDQe7LQ8%2FoB0K6fV34g%3D)
